OUR STRATEGY

Our strategy is to reach as many citizens as possible who have a very young child in their lives to emphasize the importance of talking, singing and playing with that child each day. Oral language skills must be in place before written language skills can be acquired.  Many simple suggestions and materials are put forth to easily accomplish this in homes and preschools.  We continue to work with the San Diego Council on Literacy toward this goal and continue to network with as many agencies and individuals as possible through the media, word of mouth and other means of communication.  Our strategy includes making knowledgeable people available to answer questions, give resource information and assist in an effective way to help prepare little ones for school and future learning.  Resource information and services provide the backbone of strategic planning for community outreach.  Our plan includes providing help at various sites where there is need.
